Position: Maintenance Operative/ Caretaker – South Dublin

Currently, my client has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Maintenance Person for an on-site position within a PRS (Private Rented Sector) development in South Dublin.

This includes a mix of skilled and minor maintenance duties to ensure the property assets are maintained, ensuring a comfortable, properly functioning and aesthetically pleasing community for all our residents.

It is most important that the candidate can deliver a high level of service in a confident and professional manner.

The candidate will be required to complete both internal and external repairs and maintenance work as part of an onsite management team.

The candidate will also have responsibility for the common areas, carpark, bin stores etc.

 

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responding to resident enquiries and maintenance requests through a development wide mobile application.

  • General property repairs and maintenance to include painting, minor electrical and plumbing repairs and repairs to fixtures and fittings.

  • Liaising with suppliers regarding repairs under warranty.

  • Snagging vacant apartments and preparing for future occupancy.

  • Escalating issues as required to registered contractors.

  • Co-ordinating refurbishments with external suppliers and contractors.

  • Providing meter readings when requested.

  • Ad hoc requests from the Property Management Team as required.

  • Assisting the Estate and Block management team on wider projects.

 

Required skills:

  • Must be a solid team player with ability to work on own initiative.

  • Excellent communication skills with fluent English

  • Excellent organisational and diary management skills with the ability to prioritise

  • Good interpersonal skills with a courteous and professional manner

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Painting & Decorating skills

  • General Building skills

  • Basic Plumbing and Electrical skills desirable

  • Ability to repair / replace equipment or appliances

  • Manual Handling / First Aid training is preferable but not essential

  • Must be currently legally entitled to work in Ireland
