Property Management Accountant -

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced accounts professional to join their busy team managing a substantial portfolio of Irish properties.

The role is ideal for someone who can work independently as well as part of a team. The successful candidate should be able to operate in a fast-paced office environment, with the ability to adapt quickly. Experience with property management systems, such as MRI Qube, Yardi Voyager, or similar platforms, is advantageous, although training can be provided as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the financial aspects of a property portfolio for diverse client types.

  • Preparing monthly financial reports, including financial statements, budgets, and forecasts related to property management and lettings.

  • Posting transactions to the bank account, such as rent, management fees, and service charges.

  • Collaborating with property managers and lettings teams regarding tenancy changes that impact financial reporting.

  • Reconciling bank accounts, aged debtors, and aged creditors.

  • Assisting accountants and other team members with general accounting tasks or queries as needed.

  • Processing banking transfers to suppliers for monthly payments or payment runs as required, including EFTs and remittances.

  • Processing refund payments, such as tenant deposit refunds, via the system and online banking.

  • General office administration tasks associated with the accounts portfolio, such as filing.

  • Updating data within the system, including archiving information and updating lease details.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in property-related accounting for residential or commercial management.

  • Preferably experienced with property management systems like Qube/MRI, Yardi, or similar packages.

  • Strong communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.

  • Confident in interactions with clients both in person and over the phone.

  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.

  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and able to work on one’s own initiative.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.

  • Strict confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

Term: Full time permanent with 6 months’ probation (the standard probation period )

Holidays: 21 days with 3 days to be taken at Christmas (pro-rata)

Salary : €55-€60 depending on experience
